February 27, 2024 Presidential Primary

The February 27, 2024 Presidential Primary Election is scheduled to determine the nominees for the Democrat and Republican Parties for the Office of the President of the United States. The 2024 Presidential Primary is a closed primary, consistent with the elections of 2012, 2016, and 2020.  Michigan Election Law mandates that voters intending to partake in the February 27, 2024 Election must opt for either a Democrat or Republican ballot when voting absentee or at the polls on Election Day.  Despite the requirement to choose a specific ballot, it's important to note that Michigan's voter registration system does not require political party registration.
All registered voters are entitled to an absentee ballot. Contact Winterfield Township Clerk, Bonnie Blackledge at or 616-204-0085 to request a ballot.
Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm on Election Day, February 27.
